The Partridge Inn Seafood Restaurant, Stowe, Vermont

Known for years as a great place for seafood, The Partridge Inn has been serving up delights from fresh lobster by the pound, Oysters on the Half-Shell and Alaskan King Crab Legs to Crispy Roasted Duck and Twin Lamb Chops to visitors and local patrons alike. Formers owners, Debbie and Dana Wehe, owned and operated the business for over sixteen years establishing this 70-seat restaurant as a local favorite offering great seafood, pleasing atmosphere and consistent service.

In January 2007, the Wehe’s were pleased to transfer ownership of the business to Chef Christopher Guzon and Dina Yando. Chris and Dina, have been visiting Stowe for many years now and bring a wealth of hospitality knowledge and experience to the restaurant. They are very excited to integrate their own personalities and interests to the business and we wish them all the luck in the coming years. Congratulations!

The Jackson House Inn and Restaurant

We are pleased to announce that Jennifer and Bernie English have purchased Woodstock's Jackson House Inn and Restaurant from Juan Florin. Rarely have we dealt with buyers with more hospitality experience than Bernie and Jennifer, and we have every expectation that the inn will thrive under their management. They are fortunate to be inheriting an excellent staff, including the inn's executive chef and assistant innkeeper. The Jackson House is a four diamond rated inn with fifteen guest rooms and a 50 seat dining room.

The White Horse Inn

Congratulations and a warm welcome to Brenda and Todd Johnston, the new owners of the White Horse Inn located in Fayston, Vermont. Previously of Norwalk, Connecticut, Brenda and Todd are excited to bring their experience and knowledge of the sales & marketing and travel industries to the Mad River Valley.

Purchased from long-time owners, Dave and Sue Levis, the inn is one of the largest lodging facilities in the area; able to focus on group business including ski groups, school and church groups to large families and special interest groups.

With some exciting renovations for the inn planned, we look forward to Brenda and Todd's success in the inn business and wish them many busy years ahead.

Sugar Hill Inn, Sugar Hill, New Hampshire

Steve Allen inquired about buying an inn in the Fall, and in early May, he closed on the inn of his dreams, the Sugar Hill Inn located in beautiful Sugar Hill, New Hampshire. The inn enjoys spectacular mountain vistas and a great location in the White Mountains. Steve recently became a chef, and he will be the executive chef at Sugar Hill which has a lovely dining room and pub. Steve purchased the inn from Orlo and Judy Coots.

Mountain Meadows Lodge

Anne & Bill Mercier from Virginia, along with their children purchased the property in May fulfilling their dream of owning a Vermont country inn. We wish them great success in carrying on the tradition of gracious hospitality and classic accommodations from the previous owner, Michelle Werle.

Situated at the base of the Killington Access Road, the converted 19th-century dairy barn and farmhouse is known for its location on Kent Pond and the fact that the Appalachian Trail traverses it!

A favorite Vermont location for weddings in the spring, summer and fall, the 20 rooms and full service kitchen/dining room cater to skiers and families in the winter. Facilities include sunken living room with full wall picture window overlooking the lake, outdoor hot tub, sauna, animal farm, game room, post and beam breakfast room, and comfortable, yet simple guest rooms, including some with balconies overlooking the lake, and family rooms.
