The Snowvillage Inn is an enchanting 18-Room full service Country Inn that has been in continuous operation since 1948. This well-known Inn was owned and operated successfully by Kevin Flynn for the past ten years. The Inn is situated on ten acres of high meadows and gentle woodlands on the north face of Foss Mountain six miles southeast of Conway. The Inn’s three attractive buildings are situated privately at the end of a quiet mountain road amidst award winning flower gardens and sweeping lawns with breathtaking views of Mt. Washington and the Presidential Range.

In May of 2004, Bern and Karen Galat of Newburyport, Massachusetts hired Pamela Long of the Hearthside Group as a Buyer Broker to help them locate and purchaser the Inn of their dreams. The Galats closed on the Snowvillage Inn after an exhaustive search and six months of negotiations on May 25, 2005.

The Galats had no prior experience owning or operating an Inn, but bring many skills that will translate into good Inn-keeping skills. Karen has owned and operated two successful businesses since 1993, a law practice and a web development company. Her experience in operating these small businesses will be invaluable to the Inn. In addition to Bern’s twenty years of sales, marketing and business development experience, Bern spent summers and school vacations working in his family’s general contracting business from the time he was thirteen years old until graduating from college.

Bern and Karen plan to take the Snowvillage Inn to the next level of hospitality excellence. Their three-year renovation plans include extensive redecorating and refurnishing of the guest rooms in the Carriage House and the Main Inn, installing all new luxury bathrooms, installing new windows, insulation, a concrete basement floor and a new heating system to the Carriage House and the Dining Room. The guest room and bathroom renovations will include all new linens, room décor, furnishings and fixtures. Luxury amenities such as Jacuzzi and hydrotherapy spa tubs, steam showers and deluxe gas fireplaces will be added in many rooms.
